We are teaming up with Manningham and Nillumbik councils to celebrate spring outdoors.

We have over 30 events planned from September to November, as well as a number of friends-of groups working bees.

Working bees

Joining a friends-of group is a great way to get outdoors, help the environment, and meet like-minded members of your local community.

Our extensive network of bushland reserves and wildlife corridors are jointly managed by the Bush Crew and the various friends-of groups and other environmental volunteer groups.

Volunteer groups assist with indigenous plantings, wildlife surveys and ongoing weed management.

Most groups hold working bees over a couple of hours on one weekend each month.

Things to know

  • No booking is required to attend the working bees.
  • Times and locations are subject to change.
  • Contact the friends-of group to confirm date, time (most bees are between 10am-12pm) and meeting locations.
