You will need a permit and an inspection from our fire officer before you can stage large fireworks displays on private or public land.
We will only consider applications for displays that happen outside of declared fire danger periods.
You must post or mail drop a notification letter of your fireworks display to any property within a 100m from your proposed display location.

There must be at least a 7m distance from any materials that can burn or from overhanging trees and shrubs.
Select a date for your fireworks display that is at least 30 days in advance, and not within a declared fire period.
The display must conclude by 9.30pm.
Create your neighbour notification letter and deliver to all properties near your proposed display area.
Neighbours must be notified at least 28 days before you stage your display.
You must also create an easily visible sign to be placed at the area stating the same information.
You must also complete a fireworks discharge notice to WorkSafe.

We will be in touch with you directly within 10 business day to discuss your display and arrange a site inspection.
Our fire officer will inspect your site in person to ensure community safety.
You will be notified about any changes required on your site or if you will notify WorkSafe again.
We will issue you a 1-time fireworks display permit when we are sure that all safety measure are in place.
