The Banyule Story

The Banyule Story is our annual report, published at the end of each financial year. It provides a transparent account of our performance against the Council Plan, highlighting achievements, service delivery, governance and financial results, while helping us remain accountable to the community.

Banyule Plan and Budget

The Banyule Plan and Budget page brings together our key strategic and financial documents. It explains how the Banyule Plan sets our long-term direction and priorities, while the Budget supports delivery of these goals. Doctrine

Our plans, strategies, guidelines and frameworks govern how we deliver services, manage assets, plan for growth and support community wellbeing. Covering areas such as finance, infrastructure, recreation, environment, ageing, culture and inclusion, these documents help shape priorities, decision-making and our future.

Public interest disclosure

Our public interest disclosure procedures explain how to report suspected corrupt or improper conduct by Council staff, officers or contractors. We support speaking up about serious wrongdoing and have processes to ensure disclosures are investigated appropriately and reporters are protected from reprisals.

Public transparency

Our public transparency framework supports good governance, accountability and open decision-making. It outlines the documents, registers and information we make publicly available, how to access them, and the circumstances where information may be withheld to protect privacy, legal or public interests.

Freedom of information

The freedom of information process gives the community the right to request access to documents and information we hold, subject to legislative exemptions. It explains how to apply, access publicly available documents, seek amendments to personal information and request a review of decisions.
