When a large majority of our community is vaccinated, it is more difficult for diseases to spread. Babies and older adults are the most vulnerable.
Childhood immunisations are recommended to be given on time as per the National Immunisation Program (NIP). If vaccines are missed or delayed for any reason, a catch-up program may be required. Contact our Immunisation Team prior to booking.
You can book your child in to one of our many community immunisation clinics.

Children with minor coughs and colds without fever, or those receiving antibiotics in the recovery phase of an acute illness, can all be immunised safely.
There are very few medical reasons to delay immunisation. Immunisation should only be postponed if your child is very unwell with a high fever (at or above 38.5 degrees).
The Victorian Government's No Jab, No Play policy reduces the risk of vaccine-preventable diseases through increased immunisation rates.
All parents and guardians wanting to enrol their child in an early childhood service in Victoria (including kindergarten) must provide evidence that
Conscientious objection is not an exemption under the law.

Only parents of children who are fully immunised, or are on a recognised catch-up schedule, can receive the child care benefit, the child care rebate and the family benefit.
Vaccination is recommended in the National Immunisation Schedule and associated programs offered by the Australian and Victorian Governments. This schedule and available programs are regularly updated and change as vaccines are improved.
Vaccines can have side effects. Most reactions, such as low-grade fever and pain at the injection site are mild, short lasting and do not require special treatment.
There is a small risk of a serious allergic reaction (anaphylaxis) to any vaccine. Anyone that has been vaccinated will stay in the treatment area for at least 15 minutes after immunisation in case additional support is needed.
After your visit we will upload the vaccine details to the Australian Immunisation Registry within 48 hours. To access an up-to-date immunisation history statement:
