CALD outreach support program

Our kindergarten culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) outreach support program is a free service that helps local families from diverse backgrounds to get involved in kindergarten and pre-prep. All families are welcome to submit a referral.

How we can help

With the outreach program, we:

  • assist families with the registration and enrolment in kindergarten and pre-prep
  • collaborate with educators to support families who may face barriers to regularly attending kindergarten
  • connect families with local early years services such as maternal and child health (MCH), playgroups, immunisation needs and library story times
  • support families to ensure a smooth transition for children starting school.

We can also arranging free interpreter services for any meetings with our Early Years Engagement Officer.
