Immunisation during pregnancy

We offer recommended and funded immunisation service during pregnancy, available at any session.

Vaccinations can be administered from 20 and 28 weeks as well flu shots anytime during pregnancy.

There are times where more than one injection will be given during a visit depending on your stage of pregnancy and immunisation history.

Flu vaccines in Australia contain 4 influenza virus stains – 2 influenza A subtypes and 2 influenza B lineages – and are revised each year to cover the strains most prevalent in the northern hemisphere flu season, thus posing the greatest threat to our communities.

For family members

For grandparents, carers, and other close family and friends of someone going through pregnancy, we recommend getting vaccinated to increase protection for an expectant mother or new born.

Boosters are recommended every 10 years.
