Immunisation history and overseas records
We offer catch-up immunisations to complete your history for multiple reasons, including:
- meeting Australian vaccine requirements
- recent migrated to Australia
- medical conditions that prevented immunisations when due
- contact by Centrelink or the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) for missing vaccines.
Catch up plans
Children who are missing vaccines from the National Immunisation Program (NIP) are eligible to catch up on vaccines until age 20 (age 26 for Human papillomavirus).
If some or no vaccines have been administered (not including secondary school-based immunisations), contact us prior to making an appointment so our Immunisation Team can create a catch-up plan and to ensure we have the needed vaccines in stock.
We will require a copy of the immunisation history if it is not available on AIR.

Overseas records for AIR
If you and/or family members were born or have lived overseas and received some vaccines there, then records may need to be uploaded to AIR.
Our experienced Immunisations Team can create a custom catch up plan to help you get up to date according to the Australian Immunisation Schedule. If an upload to AIR is required, then we do charge a $34 fee.
We may request a translated copy of your original vaccine records if they are not available in English.

Once submitted, we will contact you to take payment (over the phone with a credit/debit card) and explain the next steps.
Records are usually uploaded to Medicare within 7 days depending on the complexity of the history.
Vaccines will be uploaded to Medicare based on NIP. This means that some records for you may not appear on your history as they are not required in Australia. This will not affect your up-to-date status.
