Notice of proposed road closure (permanent barriers)

Pursuant to sections 207 and 223 of the Local Government Act 1989 and acting under clause 9 of schedule 11 to the Act, Banyule Council gives notice of its intention to place permanent barriers on The Boulevard, Eaglemont and Ivanhoe East as shown on the plan.

Submissions

Any person may make a submission to the planning authority about the amendment. Submissions must be made in writing giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the amendment is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.

Name and contact details of submitters are required for the planning authority to consider submissions and to notify such persons of the opportunity to attend planning authority meetings and any public hearing held to consider submissions.

The closing date for submissions is 5pm on Monday 15 June 2026.

  • Delivering a submission in person during office hours to Banyule City Council Customer Service Centre at 1 Flintoff Street, Greensborough or Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub at 275 Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe

Any person making a written submission is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014.

The planning authority must make a copy of every submission available at its office and/or on its website for any person to inspect free of charge until the end of the two months after the amendment comes into operation or lapses.
