We are advocating to the Victorian Government to complete a section of shared path in Macleod during removal of the level crossing at Ruthven Street, which will begin next year.

The missing link along Ellesmere Parade between Ruthven Street in Macleod and Davies Street in Rosanna has been identified by the Department of Transport and Planning as a high priority route for walking and bike riding.

We welcome the removal of the level crossing at Ruthven Street, but we are advocating for an appropriate crossing to ensure the safety of cyclists and pedestrians like Lauren and children Campbell and Daphne, pictured, who must cross the busy road to get to school.

What is Future Homes?

The Victorian Government's Future Homes program offers property developers pre-approved designs for small apartments that can go through streamlined Council approval processes. In the case of 125 Mountain View Parade, the application didn’t meet the necessary requirements in Council's view.
