Banyule Community Fund is a community-led non-profit fund managed under the auspices of the Australian Communities Foundation.

All funds raised can only be granted to non-profit causes and charities in Banyule. Tax deductible donations are accepted from individuals and groups.

You can donate to the general fund or choose to support one of 9 priority causes.

Recent giving

Banyule Community Fund continues to support our community, with $9,960 awarded to local groups and charities in December 2025, demonstrating the powerful impact of donating locally.

BANSIC received $4,000 to help people experiencing disadvantage and food insecurity. The funding will buy food for BANSIC’s Foodhub in Heidelberg West, which supports hundreds of people each week.

Farm Raiser urban farm in Bellfield was granted $3,960 to deliver therapeutic horticulture sessions for survivors of sexual assault. In partnership with counsellors from the Northern Centre Against Sexual Assault, the program offers weekly guided gardening activities to promote emotional healing, reduce stress, improve mental health and foster social connection.

Diamond Valley Learning Centre in Greensborough received $1,000 for its Health is Wealth workshop series. Led by Accredited Practising Dietitian Dr Mitra Zarrati, the program provides practical, evidence-based nutrition and health education to help residents make informed lifestyle choices and reduce long-term health risks.

Olympic Neighbourhood House was awarded $1,000 for its Laptops Revived project. The initiative refurbishes donated laptops for residents facing financial hardship, reducing digital inequality, supporting education and employment access and promoting environmental sustainability by diverting devices from landfill.
