Ivanhoe Garden Club is celebrating 120 years of green thumbs since beginning in 1906, when Ivanhoe was a semi-rural village amongst farms and dairies.
The Garden Club is a friendly environment for anyone interested in home gardening, and new members are welcome. They host monthly meetings, guest speakers, garden visits and more.
The local community can enjoy the colourful results of club members’ efforts at the Bicentennial Rose Garden in Ivanhoe Park, in bloom from spring to autumn.
It was established by the Garden Club in 1988, and members continue to maintain and prune the roses.
