There will be road and rail closures and detours from September to December while work is underway on the North East Link Grimshaw Street Interchange.

Bin collections during road closures

During this time we’re anticipating bottlenecks and delays- particularly around the street closures and detours in Watsonia, Watsonia North and Greensborough.

We're making sure bin collections can continue.

Put your bins out the night before collection as usual, and leave them out until they have been emptied.

Bins may be emptied a little later than usual or even the next day.

To help Council has committed extra equipment and resources during the closure of Grimshaw Street. We’ve sourced smaller trucks and may use manual collection options to work around bottlenecks, so things may look a bit different too.

• Grimshaw Street closed between Macorna Street and Greensborough Bypass
• 24-hour works on Grimshaw Street.
