Banyule Household Survey 2025
Published on 29 October 2025
We are currently conducting a survey of Banyule households with the help of Metropolis Research. This survey is referred to as the Banyule Household Survey.
Only some households will be invited to take part. If your household is selected, you’ll receive a survey pack delivered to your door by Metropolis Research, our independent research partner.
Metropolis Research carry photo ID, survey forms to leave with you and an introductory letter from Banyule Council CEO, Allison Beckwith.
The paper survey is to be filled out at your convenience. Completed surveys will be picked up from your home by Metropolis Research staff, or you can return them by mail in a reply-paid envelope.
Thank you
By taking part, you’re helping shape the future of Banyule. Your input will make a real difference to local planning, services, and community life.
Responses, data collected and what's done
Every few years, we ask a randomly selected group of local households to take part in the Household Survey. This survey helps us understand who lives in our community, what life is like for local households, and what people need to live well.
Your answers will help Council plan and improve services, facilities, and programs—like health and community services, sports facilities, shopping precincts, parks, and local events. The information you share will guide decisions that affect everyone in Banyule, now and in the future.
What will the survey ask about?
The survey covers a wide range of topics, including:
- Health and wellbeing
- Access to services and facilities
- Transport and housing
- Sustainability and biodiversity
- Community participation and what you value about your neighbourhood
Privacy and confidentiality
Your privacy is our priority. Only Council and our trusted research partner will see your responses. No names or addresses are collected in the survey, and your completed form will be securely destroyed after the data is analysed. Council will never share information that could identify you or your household with other Council departments or any government agencies.
