In recognition of IDAHOBIT (International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Interphobia and Transphobia), we are partnering with QueerTown and Yarra Plenty Regional Library to explore this year’s IDAHOBIT theme: At the heart of democracy.

We are hosting a community workshop focused on LGBTIQA+ allyship. We invite you to come along and explore the role we all play in creating inclusive communities where everyone feels seen, heard and supported. In a safe, supportive space at the Rosanna Library, this workshop will help you build confidence in being an LGBTIQA+ ally and equip you with practical tools that can be used every day by anybody.

Program

  • 12.45-1pm: arrival
  • 1-3pm: workshop
  • 3-4pm: Banyule Council’s LGBTIQA+ Champions invite you to stay for refreshments, conversations and connection.

What to expect

This is a 2-hour facilitated community workshop designed to welcome community members interested in building their LGBTIQA+ allyship skills.

You do not need prior knowledge, just a willingness to engage, listen, reflect and learn.
