Join the Friends of Darebin Creek and the Banyule Bush Crew for a community planting day at the Banyule Northern Grassland Reserve.
Participants will plant indigenous grass species and help restore a critically endangered grassland ecosystem along Darebin Creek.
This activity is suitable for people of all ages who would like to support local conservation and spend time outdoors. Families, residents and community volunteers are welcome.
Please wear suitable clothing, sturdy footwear and a hat, and bring drinking water.
The meeting point will be roughly 600m north of this entrance along the dirt maintenance track. Signage will be placed at the gate for guidance.The closest train station is Reservoir Station on Mernda Line. Nearby bus services include routes 250, 350, 382, 550 and 567, with stops within walking distance of the reserve. The nearest tram stop is Browning Street/Plenty Road (Stop 58) on Route 86.
