Celebrating International Day of People with Disability

Come down to the Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub and join us for a day of fun to celebrate International Day of People with Disability.

There will be art, film screenings, music, story time, art activities, a space to chill out as needed and the highlight ... a silent disco with the amazing DJ Baby Bomber.

No bookings are required. Drop in or spend the day here enjoying a variety of accessible activities.

Program

An AUSLAN interpreter will be present all day.

  • 11:00am: event starts with silent disco and art activities
  • 11:30am: Mayor's welcome (AUSLAN interpreted)
  • 11:35am: Baby Storytime with Yarra Plenty Regional Libraries (AUSLAN interpreted)
  • 12:00-1:00pm: screening of advocacy video (DisabilityTV) and community consultation (TP&P)
  • 12:30-1:30pm: silent disco
  • 12:30-2:00pm: art activities

Parking is available at ILCH. Venue is a 5-minute walk from Ivanhoe Train Station. The 510 and 548 bus routes stop at the venue.
