Electric Spur wildflower walk

Arthropdium strictum

Join ecologist Michael Longmore for a relaxed guided walk through the grassy woodlands of Darebin Creek Forest Park (a.k.a. Electric Spur) and discover local wildflowers, a hidden treasure in the urban landscape.

Learn to identify native orchids, lilies and more, all while exploring their unique ecology. Then, stick around afterwards for a cup of tea and a chat.

The walk

We will be walking on uneven ground that may have trip hazards, for example holes, logs, rocks.

We may leave the sealed path and walk through bushy, unpaved areas.

We will be walking for over an hour with stops along the way. The weather may change from hot to windy or rainy.

What to bring

Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress for the weather (raincoat, sun safe) and bring drinking water.
