You can track your application in eRecruit. Login and select ‘My Application History’ and see any messages in ‘My Correspondence’.
Short-listing for interview
If you are on that short list we will contact you by phone to arrange an interview time.
Recruitment process time frame
- job advertised: 2 weeks
- short-listing process: weeks
- interviewing and selection period: 1 to 3 weeks
- offer of employment: 1 to 5 days
- correspondence to unsuccessful candidates: 1 week (after interviewing and selection).
Banyule City Council may conduct pre-employment checks including:
- police check
- working with children check
- eligibility to work in Australia checks and visa verification
- pre-employment medical
- functional capacity assessments
- psychometric profiling
- credential checks
- sighting/checking of qualifications or documentation.
Some positions may require a medical examination to find out if you meet the physical requirements of the job (as outlined in the position description). If the job does not require a medical, you will be asked to complete a Statement of Disclosure.
Offer of employment
If you are successful, you will receive a verbal offer for the position by the relevant manager. HR will send you a Letter of Offer and a New Starter Pack with the details of the position and information to finalise your appointment.
Banyule City Council employees must have the right to work in Australia or hold a valid visa. If you are successful, you will need to provide evidence of this status before starting.
