July is Disability Pride Month, celebrating identity, accessibility, inclusion and belonging across Banyule, an international recognition of the identities, experiences, contributions, advocacy and voices of people with disability.

Explore the lists of various events on this page to find out what’s happening and how to get involved.

What to expect

Disability Pride Month recognises disability as a natural part of human diversity. Many of the barriers people experience are created by inaccessible environments, systems and attitudes, not by disability itself.

We are partnering with local organisations, programs, businesses, advocates and community members to celebrate accessibility, inclusion, participation and belonging across our community.

Through stories, events, partnerships and shared experiences, Disability Pride Month highlights the many ways people with disability contribute to community life and offers opportunities for people to connect, participate and belong.

Events, programs and opportunities

Throughout July 2026, local organisations, community groups, libraries, businesses, recreation providers and services will be hosting activities and opportunities across Banyule.
