Community Grants

Through our Annual Community Grants program we aim to provide support to not for profit groups across the municipality.

A grant pool of $150,000 is available for grant proposals that support and enrich the local community.

Applications for the 2017 - 2018 Community Grants open Monday 26 June 2017 and close midnight on Friday 4 August 2017

Council is offering Community Grants in the following categories:

  • Equipment - requests totaling over $2,500
  • Community Projects - up to $10,000
  • Minor Capital Works - up to $10,000
  • Arts and Culture Grants - up to $10,000

To apply for a grant, you must submit an online application via SmartyGrants

Requirements

Before applying make sure you read the 2017 Community Grants Guidelines and/or the 2017 Arts and Culture Grants Guidelines

Discussions with grant contact officers must take place prior to Friday 28 July 2017. Failure to make contact prior to this date will deem your application ineligible.

Community Grant Assessment Panel - Expressions of Interest (EOI)

Council is seeking expressions of interest from the community, living in the City of Banyule, to be a part of the Community Grants Assessment panel in September 2017. The expression of interests close on Friday 28 July 2017. To apply, read the Community Grant Assessment Panel Expression of Interest, then complete your submission.

Banyule Equipment Grants - open all year

A grant pool of up to $50,000 per annum is available for community groups to purchase minor equipment, up to the value of $2,500, in order to provide services to the Banyule community.

The equipment grants, part of our Community Grants Program, are available each month, until the allocations have been exhausted.

The grants open on the first day of the month, and close at midnight on the last day of the month. Groups are eligible to apply for a grant once every 12 months.
