Community Grants

2017 - 2018 Community Grants

We aim to provide support to not for profit groups across the municipality through our annual Community Grants funding round.

A grant pool of $150,000 is available for grant proposals that support and enrich the local community.

Applications for the 2017 - 2018 Community Grants open Monday 26 June 2017 and close at 11:59pm Friday 4 August 2017

Council is offering Community Grants in the following categories:

  • Equipment - requests totalling over $2,500
  • Community Projects - up to $10,000
  • Minor Capital Works - up to $10,000
  • Arts and Culture Grants - upto $10,000

Before starting your application make sure to read the 2017 Community Grants Guidelines and/or the 2017 Arts and Culture Grants Guidelines

Discussions with grant contact officers must take place prior to Friday 28th July.
Failure to make contact prior to this date will deem your application ineligible.

Banyule Equipment Grants - open all year

A pool of up to $50,000 per year is available for community groups to purchase minor equipment, up to the value of $2,500, that they need in order to provide services to Banyule's community.

The equipment grants, part of our Community Grants Program, are available each month, until the allocations have been exhausted.

The grants open on the first day of the month, and close at midnight on the last day of the month. Groups are eligible to apply for a grant once every 12 months.
