Facility subsidy grants

A pool of $15,375 is available and applicants can apply for a subsidy up to $1,100.

We manage a wide range of community centres, halls and venues that are available for hire by the community. Rental fees for these facilities can limit opportunities for groups to access them. This program assists with hall hire to not-for-profit groups in our community.

There are 5 categories for the 2025-2026 funding round.

  1. Not-for-profit groups based in Banyule
  2. Not-for-profit groups located outside of Banyule municipal borders
  3. New and emerging not-for-profit groups or clubs based in Banyule
  4. Banyule-based groups that do not receive formal funding
  5. Regional, state or national events

You must read the full guidelines(PDF, 200KB) for more information on the categories and speak with a Council officer before submitting your application.

You will be provided with a booking / quote number, which you will need to include in your application.

A bond is required for all bookings, regardless of the grant being approved. If your event is reliant on receiving funding for it to occur, and you do not receive a grant, your bond will be fully refunded.
