Notice of road discontinuance and land sale in Macleod

Council gives notice of its proposal to discontinue 2 court bowl sections of road abutting Mayflower Aged Care Facility at 2-8 Glenmore Street and 44-50 Highview Crescent Macleod and sell the resultant land to Mayflower Reservoir Limited (Mayflower) by private treaty.

The 2 court bowls are situated in Broadford Crescent and Highview Crescent, Macleod.

In addition, Council is seeking to acquire a parcel of Land from Mayflower for the purpose of creating a pedestrian link from Broadford Cresent to Cherry Street Reserve.

This proposal is made under s.206 and Clause 3 of Schedule 10 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act) and s.112 & s.114 of the Local Government Act 2020.

If you wish to be heard at the Council meeting in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, you must state this in your written submission.

If no submissions are received, Council may, at its Ordinary Meeting on Monday 8 April 2024, decide whether or not to discontinue the road and sell the land.

Any person making a written submission under section 223 of the Act is advised that all submissions and personal information in the submission will be handled by Council in accordance with the provisions of the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014
