Banyule's ready for a Heidelberg West community services hub

We are calling on all candidates in the lead-up to the 2026 state election to back a new community services hub in Heidelberg West and help create a modern home for organisations like Olympic Neighbourhood House and BANSIC.

The proposed hub is one of 7 priorities in Banyule's Ready advocacy campaign and seeks a funding partnership between local, state and federal governments to deliver a purpose-built facility for a growing community.

We are seeking a funding partnership of between $20 million and $25 million.

Our proposal would create a purpose-built hub where the community can access health, wellbeing, education and social support services from a single location, helping meet growing demand that will be driven by a population increase of 34% over the next 20 years, which includes an influx of social and affordable housing developments in the area.
