Children with disability playing sport

Join us for a free, fun and inclusive day of activities connecting people with disabilities to local sport and active recreation opportunities.

Suitable for kids aged 5-18 living with sensory, physical and intellectual disabilities.

How the day will loo

Participants will be split into smaller class groups (maximum 20) upon registration. After a welcome at 1pm, they will rotate across 4-6 stations. These activities will consist of modified sport and active recreation with the use of adaptive equipment to suit the participants.

The stations will be facilitated by specialised coaches with the support of students and community organisations. The formalities of the day will finish at approximately 3pm. A detailed run sheet will be provided one week prior to the event.

What to bring

  • Active wear
  • Runners or close toed training shoes
  • Water bottle
  • Bring snacks and lunch for breaks

Accessibility

Nets Stadium is a fully accessible facility. It is equipped with ample car parking, including disabled parking for 2, ground floor entry to main foyer and playing courts. It includes a fully accessible change room on the ground floor and accessibility lift to upper level program studios.
