The Waste Recovery Centre is currently unable to accept garden organics (FOGO), rubble and higher strength materials (including construction formwork plywood, poles, sleepers and oriented strand board) due to equipment repairs. Join us for a a unique experience to listen, learn and connect with First Nations bush foods and land management practices.
Uncle Dave will share his deep knowledge of the local landscape and provide an understanding of Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung bush food traditions and land management practices.
Afternoon tea will be provided, so please note dietary needs during registration.
Children aged 10+ are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times.
We will be outdoors so please dress for the weather and bring sun protection.
Please bring a reusable water bottle and keep-cup.
If you're unwell on the day, please stay home to protect others.

There is parking along Somers avenue. Macleod train station is a 4 minute walk, with parking available at Macleod station.
Attendees will be seated on chairs outdoors. If you require a specific type of seating for comfort or mobility reasons, please let us know in advance. The entrance to Sustainable Macleod Community Garden features a slight decline and a gravel surface. Those using mobility aids, prams, or wheelchairs may require assistance.
