Dance of the Moth multimedia performances
Next date: Saturday, 04 October 2025 | 02:00 PM
to 03:15 PM
Due to unforeseen circumstances the original scheduled date of June 28 as advertised in the Banyule Banner has been changed to October 4. We apologise for any inconvenience.
Dance of the Moth is a 2-part multimedia celebration of creativity and collaboration, showcasing the artistic journey of young performers alongside the dynamic improvisation of professional artists through dance, sound and visual storytelling.
Part 1
Part 1 is a unique multimedia event celebrating creative expression and the nurturing of young talent from Banyule through contemporary dance, sound and visual art. The event begins with a performance by young participants who, through a series of workshops, have been mentored by professional artists Erin Taube (dance), Roderick Price (sound), and Jutta Pryor (visuals). These emerging performers have explored storytelling through movement, sound, and projection, culminating in this exciting live debut at the Yarra-me Djila Theatrette.
Part 2
Part 2 is a professional, improvised multimedia piece by the artists themselves, a sensory journey where visuals respond to rhythm, light, and motion in real time. No 2 performances are ever the same.
Don't miss this inspiring showcase of bold artistry and emerging creative voices.
