Information sessions

It’s that time of year again! Are you Banyule-based artist, maker, creative, musician, performer, dancer or writer?

Do you want to know more about the Banyule Arts & Culture Program, or would like to be a part of it for 2027-2028?

Then come along to an information session, and find out about what we do, and how we can support you as a Banyule-based artist. Attendance at an information session is mandatory for anyone who wants to apply to the program.

If you have previously attended an information session, you do not need to attend again, but please email us if you would like an application form for 2027-2028.

Important dates

  • June to July 2026: information sessions and applications open
  • August to September 2026: Arts & Culture team assess all applications
  • October 2026: applicants are contacted with an outcome
  • December 2026: 2027 program finalised

Join us

This is an annual process open to all artists and makers living or operating in Banyule.

Please join us:

  • if you are an artist, performer, musician, maker, creative, writer or a creative/cultural community group
  • if you live or your group operates in Banyule
  • if you have an idea for an artistic program, be it part of a festival, a stand alone event, public art or at Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub
  • if you have a programming idea, project or want to do an arts or cultural activity at Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub
  • if you want to work with us and be part of our program, not just hire a space to do your own thing (sessions are not about venue hire).

Benefits

  • We will introduce you to the various programs and spaces that you can apply to.
  • We want to share our vision and programming ethos with you.
  • We want to work with our local creative community and support you.
  • We want to meet you, and hear your ideas.

Remember, only those who attend an information session will be able to apply.
