The purpose of the Banyule Car Share Policy is to introduce car share in Banyule by providing dedicated car share parking spaces. This policy sets out how car share will be managed in public on-street locations, Council-managed off-street parking areas, and supports including car share in new developments.
The policy will be put into action through our Banyule Car Share Guidelines. These guidelines outline the roles and responsibilities of car share providers (CSPs) and Banyule Council, explain the steps for introducing and managing car share, and set out criteria for choosing the best locations for public on-street and Council-managed off-street car share parking spaces.
