We are seeking an exemption for Local Government from Windfall Gains Tax in situations where rezoned land is reused for community benefit.

This effort will remove disincentives to reusing land for community benefit.
Overview
Windfall Gains tax is payable to the State Revenue office when rezoned land value increases above $100,000. We have joined forces with Boroondara, Manningham, Nillumbik and Whitehorse councils to advocate for an exemption from the tax in situations where land is reused for community benefit.
