About the speaker

Carrie Bickmore OAM is one of Australia’s leading media personalities. After studying journalism at Curtin University, she began her career in radio before transitioning to television. In 2009, she became a founding co-host of Network Ten’s The Project, where her empathy, insight and wit have made her a household name.

Carrie’s achievements include winning the Gold Logie in 2015 and receiving the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in 2019 for her service to broadcast media and charity. Driven by personal loss after her husband Greg died of brain cancer, she established Carrie’s Beanies 4 Brain Cancer, raising millions for research and awareness.

A dedicated mother, Carrie is admired both for her journalistic integrity and her compassion as an advocate. She continues to inspire Australians through her work in media and philanthropy, embodying resilience and genuine warmth.
