Ivanhoe Aquatic

Service updates

As the Victorian Government has reintroduced Stage 3 "Stay at home" restrictions from 11.59pm Wednesday 8 July 2020, Ivanhoe Aquatic, Olympic Leisure and NETS Stadium Banyule will be closed starting 9 July 2020, for a minimum 6 weeks or until further notice.

Hours and bookings

Lap swimming, aqua exercise and aqua fitness classes will be offered in 1 hour sessions.

1 hour pool sessions with a maximum of 20 patrons (no limit on the number of people per lane in each pool) will be offered.

All change rooms and showers will be available. Preparing our aquatic facilities for use will be guided by advice from the Royal Life Saving Australia, Australian Government Department of Health and Safe Work Australia.

Opening hours for 8 July 2020

  • 6am – 1.15pm and 4pm – 9pm

Bookings allow us to manage sessions and classes. Participation interest will likely exceed the number of places available, and we want to avoid situations where members cannot attend due to sessions reaching capacity.

You must present your booking ticket to attend your session.

If we need to cancel any sessions, members who have booked will be notified at least 1 hour prior to the commencement.

Additional precautions

Entry to gym or pool will be at the start time of each session. You will need to leave the gym or pool no later than the finish time of each session.

Departure from the pool hall will be no later than the finish time of each session.

15 minutes has been allowed between sessions for sanitising and preparation for the following session.

  • Toilets will be available for use.
  • Communal showers and change rooms will not be available (please shower at home prior to attending your session).
  • Use of centre equipment for lap swimming and aqua exercise will not be available (you may bring your own equipment).
  • Use of equipment for aqua fitness classes will be available (1 x set per participant will be provided).

Membership information

Payment for participation in these special sessions will not be related to the use of entitlements of any Banyule Leisure membership.

Due to remaining government restrictions that prevent normal centre operations, all membership entitlements will remain on suspension and not be available for use until further notice.

We remain active in posting exercise updates and videos on our Facebook page.
