Tertiary placements are for students who are completing a current tertiary course and are required to complete a work placement as part of their studies.
A tertiary placement provides the opportunity to apply academic learning in the workplace and develop work readiness. A placement is unpaid and can be project or time-based.
Tertiary placements must be a requirement of the course completion and endorsed by your tertiary institution.
Priority will be given to people who live or study in Banyule.
If you are a secondary school student and are interested in working for local government, consider applying for a Banyule work experience placement.
Your work experience placements introduce you to the daily life of our employees. You will gain hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of one of our departments.
If you are offered a place, you will need to send us a completed Work Experience Arrangement form. Ask for one from your school Work Experience Coordinator.
We receive more applications than we have places to offer.
We give preference to students who are living or attending school in the Banyule municipality.
