Most of the work is on target, with 85% of major actions either on track or completed, as of December 2024.

Despite the ongoing impacts of inflation and cost-of-living pressures, Council continued to deliver on major infrastructure projects such as Watsonia Town Square, Rosanna Library and the East Ivanhoe streetscape upgrade.

We also delivered on the smaller-scale projects, with new public toilets opening in Macleod (pictured), a new boardwalk built along Yarra Flats and improvements made to the pavilion at Greensborough War Memorial Park.

Beyond building, we achieved a big sustainability milestone with Morobe Street Children’s Centre and St Hellier Street Children’s Centre becoming the first early year’s services in Victoria to achieve an industry 5-star environmental certification.

We finished the First Nations Spirit Trail in Heidelberg West, which offers a scenic walk and educational journey, and our aged care services secured a Rainbow Tick accreditation.

Some off-track items include the Macleod Park pavilion and the Integrated Water Management Plan. Works on the pavilion stalled while underground electricity cables were relocated. The water management plan has been delayed to allow for more community consultation.

These outcomes reflect a Council focused on long-term goals and responsive to community needs.
