In accordance with the Planning and Environment Act 1987, submission of an application requires numerous documents and the associated fee.

Application forms vary depending on what is being applied for:

Banyule New Planning Permit Application

Use this form to apply for a planning permit in accordance with the Planning and Environment Act 1987 and the Banyule Planning Scheme.

Tree Removal and/or Pruning Application

Use this form to apply for a planning permit specifically associated with tree removal, pruning or lopping.

Current Application Amendment Form

Use this form to apply for changes to a current planning application, be it changes to the scope or scale of the proposed works.

Amendments to Planning Permits (permits that have been decided)

Secondary Consent Form

Use this form to apply for changes to a planning application that has been decided upon and a permit issued and where minor modifications to the endorsed plan(s) are required under Secondary Consent.

Section 72 Amendment Application Form

Use this form to apply for changes to what the permit allows, permit conditions and/or endorsed plans as required under Section 72 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.

Development Plan Approval Application Form

Use this form to apply for development plan approval due to a restriction on the title of the land or a planning control affecting the site specifically requiring such assessment.

Extension of Time Application Form

Use this form to request an extension to the life of the permit, beyond the current permit expiry limitations.

Property Inquiry Form

Use this form to:

  • Request information under Section 326(2) of the Building Regulations 2006 (i.e. flood prone, termite prone, alpine area)
  • Request standard written planning information
  • Seek specific planning advice in relation to a proposal or the history of a site
  • Obtain a copy of a planning permit
  • Retrieve information from an application file which was lodged prior to 2013.

Objection Form

Use this form to lodge an objection to a planning application.

Note objections are not restricted to requiring this form, a letter or email is also sufficient.
Any correspondence to be identified as an objection must document the relevant points on the form (i.e. contact details, reasons for objection and how you will be affected).
