Banyule’s Gambling Policy: Gambling Reduction and Harm Minimisation 2019-222 includes a series of statements which explain the Council’s position, expectations and opportunities to collaborate on matters associated with gambling within and around the municipality.
The Policy explains how we will work to minimise harms associated with gambling losses. The policy includes our response to a range of different types of gambling including sports betting, online gambling and electronic poker machines. It guides how Council will respond to applications for new gambling venues, additional electronic gaming machines and transfer of electronic gaming machines between venues both within Banyule and neighbouring suburbs. It also guides how Council limit exposure to gambling advertising and gambling access on Council owned property and resources.
A copy of the Policy together with the Background Discussion Paper are available via the links under Related Information above
