Northern metro region COVID-19 outbreak
Published on 22 October 2020
Residents of Melbourne's northern suburbs including Dallas, Roxburgh Park, Broadmeadows, Preston and West Heidelberg who are experiencing symptoms are urged to be tested for coronavirus.
There are many supports available for people who need to be tested or isolate
Many people in these areas have received text messages about outbreak and high exposure areas and have been asked to get tested.
Government agencies and health services are also door knocking to encourage people in the area to get tested.
Get tested if you have been in the Heidelberg West or Preston areas and have symptoms, or you are worried.
Early testing is the best way to protect yourself and stop any potential spread.
The Department of health and Human Services is leading all the contact tracing efforts and will contact any impacted individuals directly.
