Every 5 years, the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) counts every person and home in Australia. In early August, households will receive instructions on how to complete the Census.
The ABS will assist anyone who needs help with the Census. A trusted family member or friend can also help you complete your Census.
Call 1800 512 441 to speak to someone in English.
There are also resources in your language, or you can call the Translating and Interpreting Service on 131 450.
To complete your Census on paper instead of online, call the 24-hour help line 1800 130 250. You will need your 16-digit Census number found on your Census letter.
