From 4 July our FOGO program allows you to place food waste in the garden waste bin for collection.
If your real estate business operates in Banyule and you want to place signs in the street to promote properties for sale, then you will need a permit.
Permits must be renewed on 31 October each year.
Pointer board must not be more than 0.5 square metres in size and must include the time open for inspection or time of auction.
They can be placed on the nature strip, or the kerb side of the footpath if there is no nature strip. They must be secure, not obstruct the vision of drivers or pedestrians, and can't be on roundabouts or median strips.
Pointer board can only be displayed on the day that the properties are open for inspection or for auction, and must removed within 1 hour of completion time.
Agencies can have a maximum of 3 signs per property, and a maximum of 18 signs on our streets.
Flags are not permitted to hang over the footpath. They must be contained within the property they are advertising.
We will withdraw a permit if you breach permit conditions
