Qualia/Fyre with Heidi Everett

Qualia/Fyre is a search for fire in one of the coldest places on Earth

Qualia/Fyre is a search for fire in one of the coldest places on earth.

Award winning artist, producer and proud neurodivergent Heidi Everett confronts tragedy, creativity and comedy in this 1-person theatre performance that reveals what it's like to be in a public psychiatric ward and searching for a way out.

It is co-created and directed by John Fleming, and co-supported by Banyule Council and Creative Victoria.

System-inspired music, an unyielding sense of humour and ‘ward-time’ artwork provide a multi-sense experience for audiences. This new, solo work from Everett's mental health diversity theatre company, Qualia, premiered to sold-out audiences at Melbourne Fringe Festival in 2019. It received the Access and Inclusion award for world-leading inclusive audience and artist practices.
