Jordan-Ravi is an 18-year-old singer songwriter from Darwin. He is an enigmatic, soulful singer-songwriter with a chocolate tone and a talent on the guitar celebrated by his fans. He has recently launched his debut single ‘One More Time’ to rave reviews worldwide, and has just returned from America’s Got Talent where he received 2 standing ovations from Simon Cowell.
Australian Children's Choir
With over 30 years of high profile performances behind it, the Australian Children's Choir regularly appears in concert with many of Melbourne's leading ensembles. We are delighted to have the choir back again this year to perform alongside the Diamond Valley Brass Band.
Diamond Valley Brass Band
It wouldn't be Carols by Candlelight without the Diamond Valley Brass Band. The ensemble is a crowd favourite, and we are pleased to have them back for another year to perform with the Australian Children's Choir.
The Kazoos with Santa
Bringing their outstanding talent and energy to our Carols stage, The Kazoos certainly know how to engage and captivate children with their exciting Christmas show. A little birdie told us that The Kazoos may even have a special guest dressed in red and white with them on the stage this year … Santa!
Access and inclusion
We work to ensure our events and festivals are as inclusive and accessible as possible, for all people. To support increased community participation we have a number of strategies and resources available.
Auslan Stage Left
We are thrilled to have Auslan interpretors for the first time this year. They will be interpreting the main Carols showtime from 7:30pm-9:30pm.
We provide a Carols specific social story describing what can be expected from attending our event, including descriptions and photos.
Phonic Ear system and hearing protection
This service is available for people who are hard of hearing or are hearing aid users. Noise cancelling headphones are available for loan from the Customer Service tent at the event.
There is 1 accessible toilet available on site. This event is set on an oval so access is limited due to a steep slope. The seating area on the ground is flatter near The Boulevard and Wamba Road side of the oval. This is not allocated or reserved so people are encouraged to arrive early to secure an ideal spot.
