We enjoyed carols by candlelight in Ivanhoe Park. Picnics were had, and we joined in with the songbook and LED candle!

Bobby is an Irish-born Australian actor who originated the role of Franki Valli in the Australian production of Jersey Boys. On stage, he has had lead roles in Blood Brothers, Mamma Mia!, We Will Rock You, plus many more! We are thrilled to have Bobby as our MC and feature performer this year!
Having grown up in Greensborough, Jazmin is excited to return to our Carols stage after a successful stint as a finalist on The Voice Australia 2019. Throughout her career, Jazmin has also had guidance from many recording artists and professionals, such as Printz Board (creator of The Black-Eyed Peas), Justice Crew and Stan Walker.
Jordan-Ravi is an 18-year-old singer songwriter from Darwin. He is an enigmatic, soulful singer-songwriter with a chocolate tone and a talent on the guitar celebrated by his fans. He has recently launched his debut single ‘One More Time’ to rave reviews worldwide, and has just returned from America’s Got Talent where he received 2 standing ovations from Simon Cowell.
With over 30 years of high profile performances behind it, the Australian Children's Choir regularly appears in concert with many of Melbourne's leading ensembles. We are delighted to have the choir back again this year to perform alongside the Diamond Valley Brass Band.
It wouldn't be Carols by Candlelight without the Diamond Valley Brass Band. The ensemble is a crowd favourite, and we are pleased to have them back for another year to perform with the Australian Children's Choir.
Bringing their outstanding talent and energy to our Carols stage, The Kazoos certainly know how to engage and captivate children with their exciting Christmas show. A little birdie told us that The Kazoos may even have a special guest dressed in red and white with them on the stage this year … Santa!
The events and festivals were as inclusive and accessible as possible, for all people. To support increased community participation a number of strategies and resources were made available.
We were thrilled to have Auslan interpretors for the first time this year. They interpreted the main Carols showtime from 7:30pm-9:30pm.
We provided a carols-specific social story describing what can be expected from attending our event, including descriptions and photos.
This service was available for people who are hard of hearing or are hearing aid users. Noise cancelling headphones are available for loan from the customer service tent at the event.
There was 1 accessible toilet available on site. This event was set on an oval so access is limited due to a steep slope. The seating area on the ground was flatter near The Boulevard and Wamba Road side of the oval.

Carols by Candlelight coincides with the first night of The Boulevard Christmas Lights.
Road closures and parking restrictions come into effect on Saturday 14 December to Tuesday 24 December, 7pm-11pm nightly.
During these times, The Boulevard will operate as a one way street and surrounding streets will also be affected.
