Despite the lockdown restrictions in place, your bins will still be collected, and we're still able to answer your calls. Stay safe, stay home and if you go out for any of the 6 reasons, remember your mask.
Ivanhoe Park was filled with families on Saturday 15 December for Banyule City Council's Carols by Candlelight. The crowd enjoyed the pre-show activities and delicious food from the onsite food trucks from 6.30pm, before the Carols main stage program kicked off at 7.30pm.
The crowd sang along with an impressive range of Australian and local performers, including Liz Cherry from the Australian Army Band, Colin Lillie, Seth Henderson and the Diamond Valley Brass Band. The Australian Children’s Choir and The Kazoos were also a feature for 2018.
To top off the festivities, Santa himself joined in the choir before taking a trip down The Boulevard Christmas Lights in a vintage fire truck.
This year, the Carols by Candlelight 2018 Program and Songbook and LED battery powered candles, were available to collect from the Banyule Customer Service marquee for a gold coin donation.
All of the LED battery powered candles were donated to us by Banyule's Battery World Greensborough. A very special thank you to Elias and his team for this very generous donation.
