Information session for Arts & Culture program

Learn about our arts and culture program, the team that delivers these events, the art spaces at the Ivanhoe Library and Cultural Hub and the opportunities for you to be part of the programming.

Information sessions

To get involved, attend one of our information sessions so we can share our vision with you and set you off in the right direction.

We collaborate directly with artists to engage the community as partners. Only those who attend one of our information sessions will be eligible to submit proposals. If you have already attended a session in 2021, then you do not have to attend again, simply contact us to reconnect.

Important dates

  • May to July 2022: information sessions and applications open
  • August 2022: Arts & Culture team assess all applications
  • September 2022: applicants are contacted with an outcome
  • October 2022: confirmation of programming for January to June 2023 events
  • November 2022: January to June 2023 program finalised and printed
  • December 2022: January-June 2023 program launched and distributed
  • April 2023: July-December program confirmed
  • May 2023: July-December program finalised and printed
  • June 2023: July-December program launched and distributed

Join us

This is an annual process open to all artists and makers living or operating in Banyule.

Please join us:

  • if you are an artist, performer, musician, maker, creative, writer or a creative/cultural community group
  • if you live or your group operates in Banyule
  • if you have an idea for an artistic program, be it part of a festival, a stand alone event, public art or at Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub
  • if you have a programming idea, project or want to do an arts or cultural activity at Ivanhoe Library & Cultural Hub
  • if you want to work with us and be part of our program, not just hire a space to do your own thing (sessions are not about venue hire).

Benefits

  • We will introduce you to the various programs and spaces that you can apply to.
  • We want to share our vision and programming ethos with you.
  • We want to work with our local creative community and support you.
  • We want to meet you, and hear your ideas.

Remember, only those who attend an information session will be able to apply.
