Winter warmers in June

Mon 28 May, 2018

Winter may be approaching but there are two good reasons to rug up and head to Watsonia Library in June.

Worldwide Knit in Public Day is a call out to all local knitters to get together for a chat, afternoon tea and some knitting. BYO knitting needles and yarn.

The Winter Games Night is a chance to play board and giant indoor games, try on dress-ups and use the photo booth to capture the moment. Watch a family-friendly movie and munch on sausage and popcorn!

Banyule Mayor said libraries were a great place to spend time in all year round but were particularly cosy in the colder months.

“These two winter events at Watsonia Library are a great way to spent time outside the home in the community and have some fun with other local people,” Cr Di Pasquale said.

“Council is committed to providing residents with opportunities to connect with others and share experiences in the community and libraries are an ideal place to do that.”
