Secrets of modern day parenting

Mon 14 May, 2018

It’s no secret that parenting is challenging and can be even more so when combined with the demands of modern day living.

But with so much information available on what to expect at every stage of a child’s development, it can be difficult for parents to judge what is normal.

Two parent education sessions being presented by Banyule Council aim to shed light on what you can expect.

Banyule Mayor Cr Mark Di Pasquale acknowledged that being a parent can be one of the hardest jobs there is.

“It’s important to remember that you’re not alone,” he said. “Parenting can be tough and Council has a number of services that can help.

“Our maternal and child health services offer New Parent Group sessions for first time parents. And two upcoming parent educations sessions will cover what to expect from your one year old and modern day parenting.”
