Notice of Intention to Lease - Council Tennis Courts

Banyule City Council (Council) gives notice of its intention to enter into a five year lease with each of the tennis clubs below.

This proposal is made under section 190 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act).

A plan identifying the tennis courts and associated facilities proposed to be leased is available here .

A person has a right to make a submission to Council on the proposed leases in accordance with section 223 of the Act.  

Written submissions to Council under section 223 of the Act must be received by on 8 March 2018 and should be addressed to Proposed Tennis Leases – F2017/4480, Chief Executive Officer, Banyule City Council and delivered to 1 Flintoff Street, Greensborough or posted to PO Box 94, Greensborough 3088.

Submissions will be considered at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Monday 9 April 2018 beginning at 7pm at 275 Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe.  Council will consider whether or not to lease the Land at a subsequent meeting.  If no submissions are received, Council may consider whether or not to lease the Land at its Ordinary Meeting on 9 April 2018.

If you wish to be heard at the Council meeting in person, or be represented by a person specified in the submission, you must state this in your written submission. 

Please note that copies of submissions (including submitters’ names and addresses) will be made available at the Council meeting at which the above proposal will be considered.  Council is also required to make any written submissions available for public inspection for a period of twelve months.
