Notice of intention to sell part of 72 Main Street Greensborough

Banyule City Council (Council) gives notice of its intention to sell part of the land known as 72 Main Street Greensborough, being an area of 42m2 adjacent to the boundary of 66-78 Main Street, Greensborough, shown hatched on the plan below and comprised in certificate of title volume 11482 folio 069 (Land).

This proposal is made under section 189 of the Local Government Act 1989 (Act).

A person has a right to make a submission to Council on the sale of the land in accordance with section 223 of the Act. 

Written submissions to Council under section 223 of the Act must be received by 5pm on 30 November 2017 and should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer, Banyule City Council and delivered to 1 Flintoff Street, Greensborough or posted to PO Box 94, Greensborough, 3088.

Submissions will be considered at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on Monday 29 January 2018 beginning at 7pm at 275 Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe. Council will consider whether or not to sell the land at a subsequent meeting. If no submissions are received, Council may consider whether or not to sell the land at its ordinary meeting on Monday 29 January 2018.

If you wish to be heard at the Council meeting in person, or to be represented by a person specified in the submission, you must state this in your written submission.

Please note that copies of submissions (including submitters’ names and addresses) will be made available at the Council meeting at which the above proposal will be considered.  Council is also required to make any written submissions available for public inspection for a period of twelve months.
