Banyule Council will be establishing an Internship Program with a focus on 6-monthly internship opportunities for:
Newly arrived refugees with qualifications to enable paid work experience in Australia;
People with disabilities to gain paid work experience and skills in administration and function set up
Young people to gain paid employment and skill development in administration across the organisation; &
ATSI community to gain paid employment in administration, community development and events management.
The basis of the internship program would be to rotate 6 monthly opportunities in each vulnernable cohorts identified over a three year period (8 internships per year x 3 years with a total of 24 internships over the three year program).
An information session was held on Monday 3rd September. The presentation from the session can be found under "Related Information" along with an expression of interest form.
The closing date for expression of interests for the first intake of interns is Friday 14th September.
