Draft Council Plan 2017 - 2021
We are pleased to make available the first draft of the new Council Plan 2017-2021. This Draft includes proposed Objectives, Key Directions, Focus Areas and examples of key initiatives for the next year. The initiatives are indicative only and included to help you get a sense of how the Plan works.
The Draft Council Plan is based on;
- a review of our existing work,
- an analysis of the feedback we have received through our community engagement program,
- much work and discussion within Council.
This is the first Draft and there are still many opportunities for you to help shape the Plan, including at our 4 special community forums.
View the plan and leave any comments you have on the draft at Shaping Banyule.
Current City Plan
Our 4-year City Plan 2013-2017 was initially adopted by Council in June 2013 and sets Council’s priorities and direction over four years. It helps guide the services we provide to residents and the broader Banyule community. The City Plan is Banyule’s Council Plan as required by Section 125 of the Local Government Act 1989.
The City Plan is reviewed and updated each year after comprehensive consultation with the community, councillors and staff to ensure we continue to deliver the most appropriate community services and projects.
The current City Plan, also known as the City Plan 2013-2017 (Year 4), was adopted by Council at its meeting on 14 June 2016.
The City Plan is supported by the Budget 2016/2017.
