Get help finding a job

The Jobs Victoria Advocate program (JVA) is available for free to anyone age 15+ looking for employment, education and training support.

Our advocates can help you in flexible and inclusive ways by talking 1-on-1: in person face to face, online or over the phone at a time convenient for you.

We are delivering this Victoria Government program to help local residents find the information, referrals and connections they need to gain and keep employment. Advocates can help you with:

  1. education, training and employment advice
  2. referrals to employment services and education providers
  3. resume, cover letter and interviewing skills
  4. career planning and goal settings
  5. inclusive pre- and post-employment support
  6. linkages into local community groups and programs
  7. searching for local volunteering opportunities.
  8. Centrelink job services navigation
  9. assistance with university and TAFE applications
  10. small business preparation
