Child care services

Child care services provide safe places for children to experience a wide range of play-based learning. They cater for children from birth to school age.

There are many types of local child providers that offer full-, part-time and occasional care for children.

You could consider:

  • in-home care: a flexible option providing care in the family home;
  • family day care: approved educators care for your child in their home;
  • occasional care: see our list of local occasional care providers; or
  • long day care: provided in approved centres.

There are over 30 child care centres in Banyule.

To find local child care providers go to the Australian Government Child Care Finder.
